I was reminded by a friend today that I haven't let anyone here know whats been up in the last couple weeks. As I stated in my last update, I was having the worst day, pain-wise, since I herniated my disc. My mother showed up for a visit that night and the next morning I was able to walk and sit. Pin it on God's grace and a mother's comfort, but I have been able to stand erect and sit with only discomfort since the 23rd of September. I still have numbness down the right side of my right leg that causes discomfort walking or standing, but nothing even approaching what I had before. I thank you for your prayers and ask for continued prayers for a full recovery.
Since regaining "upright" status, I have been trying to put things back together. As you can imagine, things fall apart when you can't work on them for a month. Started doing follow-up meetings and preparing for a new weekly start date.
Tuesday, October 11 we will begin our Family Group at the Weststrate's house on Central Ave. This will be our initial weekly platform for the moment till we get the rest of our ducks in order. Tomorrow @ 6:30pm, if you need an address please contact me.
I want to shout out a HUGE thank you for all of you who contacted me via phone and email with your expressions of support. Sometimes it feels like we're a long way from home, but we are making a new home and very excited about it. The transition can just be a little rough. Thanks again.
Chrissy and I should be closing on a house a mile from where we currently live in Rollinsford, NH. Its a nice little property that is going to get a full work up before we move in. If anyone wants to make a trip to help us move in mid-November they are more than welcome.
From the list we put out a month ago, regarding things that would help our ministry, we have not received many responses. We are looking for someone(s) to donate toward 3 specific needs:
1. Rent money for a location.
2. A trailer/truck topper to cover our gear.
3. A donation that will allow me to be able to focus my time on the church.
Please follow this link for more information: Needs List
There are many up here who have not heard of our Lord, many who have heard lies about Jesus, many who have given up hope in the God of their youth. Through your prayers and support you are joining us in undertaking a tremendous challenge. "This generation of believers is responsible for this generation of souls." You can't sit on the sidelines, you help the cause or you help the enemy. Whether that means donating to our ministry or another, your time, money, heart, and very life are needed in the advancing of the Kingdom of God. Please, do not forget those of us on the edges. This Kingdom moves forward on the power of an Almighty God and an army of willing followers of His Son. We all have more we could give, this sacrifice is greater than anything we could waste our time/money on in this world. Please, look beyond the moment. Look beyond the everyday. Raise your eyes from the tasks that blind you and see the lost crying out for a Savior. See the planters/missionaries/brothers/sisters that are striving with all they have to give. Don't forget. Don't overlook. Don't give up. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.
Grace and Peace
