I know, I know...
I have GOT to setup a schedule for updating this sucker more often. You all are going to forget we're up here!
Keep us in mind this summer. The Northeast is notorious for having a severe attendance drop off during the summer weather. This has the potential to be extremely discouraging for us as we strive to reach the community. Please pray for us, pray for encouragement, pray for growth, pray for joy. If you have committed to donating to Imago Dei, please don't drop off during the summer. We exist on razor thin margins. If you have let it slip your mind in recent months, please consider donating again.
God has given us some very exciting opportunities coming up here in the near future:
We are going to be partnering with the Dover Housing Authority and a couple of local churches to put on a block party the first Saturday in July. The plan is to have food, music, raffles, kids events, and a softball game. If you have a desire to help us either plan, prepare, or implement some aspect of this, please give me a shout.
Dover Baptist is going to be holding a VBS in the DHA and has invited us to participate. We are looking forward to helping them, help us, all we can.
We will be commissioning Chris Kujawa as an associate this Sunday!
Chrissy's pregnancy is progressing well. Last week we were able to get a free ultrasound from Options for Women here in Dover. It is indeed a baby, it's awfully squiggly, if you have Chrissy on Facebook you can see the pictures in her photo album. We're pulling for a boy, we won't find out for a month though. We were contacted a couple weeks ago by Options for Women because they get high traffic from our primary area of ministry. They were looking for a place to send people who have a desire to learn more about faith and who need a support structure. They primarily provide counseling services to distressed women.
Be in prayer for us.
Grace and Peace

So.....if you didn't already know....
Chrissy is 11 weeks pregnant! The due date is November 6. We've been trucking along here at Imago Dei. Our Easter Service had 25 people, which is 25 times larger than last Easter! Now, if we can replicate that success for next year, you might have to pick me up off the floor. But with God, all things are possible.
Please be praying for our outreach efforts.
If you want to hear what we've been preaching about, you can listen to our sermons on the church website. Chris Kujawa is working on a website update and we're all looking forward to see what he's been working on. Should be ready by summer.
Keep tuned in!

Palm Sunday/Easter Egg Hunt
So, I'm sure everyone here will be psyched to hear. This past Sunday we hit our highest attendance yet. 37 people participated in our worship service! To follow it up, our Easter Egg Hunt had at least 75 people in attendance!! As we come up on Easter Sunday, we have a couple of very specific prayer requests:
That God will continue to bless the church with people who need to hear the Gospel.
That our congregants will be inviting people to the "Superbowl Sunday" of Church.
That Chris and I will be blessed with wisdom in how to integrate any changes that come along.
We want to thank you for your support and we ask that you continue to give it as we are still learning how to "walk" as a church. God is blessing our efforts and He is faithful.

It's 70 in New England Today!!
With the warm weather returning, so also is my desire to post. Its been a long, sometimes cold month up here. It's hard to believe, less than 2 weeks ago we had 11 inches of snow fall! God has been good to us this month. For those of you unaware, I had another birthday (they come fairly regularly at the end of every February). Chris has been preaching for the last couple of weeks regarding outreach and we're going to be setting people up with info on our next series.
We are now set to be partnering with Dover Baptist as they do a monthly outreach to the DHA with a Saturday Community Breakfast as well as a VBS come summer. We have also been blessed to have equipment donated by a former church plant here in Dover including, but not limited to: a sound system, padded chairs and children's ministry equipment. We'll find out more as we join the pastor to clear out the storage shed, but all in total its at least $5,000-8,000 worth of equipment.
With Easter coming up, we are in the process of planning a couple of great events. 1st is an Easter Egg Hunt, that we have tentatively have planned for Palm Sunday after church. Imago Dei is also approaching its FIRST BIRTHDAY!! There will be CAKE!!
I want to thank all of you who have supported us in prayer, as volunteers, and financially. We could not do it without you. Churches around the country are struggling to stay above ground and we find ourselves on a positive trajectory! That doesn't mean its time to drop the ball, not by any means. We're a very young church and if we want to have an impact we need to stay above water. If you've been waiting for a time to donate, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! You can donate specifically to our Children's Ministry or Outreach Efforts or just to the everyday expenses (they need to be paid too). We have the ability for you to donate through Paypal or through a check sent to our mailing address, both on the side of this page.
We're asking you to help us bless this community, please don't push this to the back of your priority list. Without you helping to support us, God would find a way, but I'm just crazy enough to believe that YOU are the way!!

BAPTISM SUNDAY!!
Well folks, its come and gone. Our first set of baptisms! Not only that, but Chris preached his first Imago Dei sermon! We had three people make a commitment to follow Christ during the message! I know I'm using a lot of exclamation points, but I truly am that stoked!
This past Sunday we tied our attendance high, we had a pizza lunch, and then we were off to Dover Baptist Church to use their graciously donated baptistry. We are in the process of partnering with them for a couple of local things and we'd love it if you would send them a thank you email from supporters of Imago Dei: welcome@doverbaptistchurch.org
Its been an up and down week. We have a number of prayer requests. Probably the most significant was a recent suicide attempt by one of our parishoners. I can't add more info than that due to privacy issues, but please keep this person in your prayers. It's been a rough couple of months for them and they need to be lifted up.
We're looking at some ways to have a fresh outreach effort and we're asking that you prayer for guidance for Chris and I as we prepare for that. Chris is also working on a website update. We have a fan page on Facebook, and we also have an organization page: Facebook
I know we have a few more prayer requests, but I'm at work right now and don't have access to the cards (sorry), I'll update with those later.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for!! The Baptism VIDEO!!

Biggest Sunday Yet
We had a great Sunday! Super-excited about the direction we're going. I know God has BIG plans for Imago Dei and that He is moving powerfully. I have some things in the works that I hope to be able to talk to you about, maybe later in the week, but until then, we do have some prayer requests.
F. Had a friend get stabbed and killed over the weekend. Prayers for the friends and family and tat the perp is brought to justice.
H. Needs ongoing prayer for the situation with her children. It has the look of a longer fight to get them back than initially believed. Pray that children will be put in the best possible situation and that God will work even in this mess.
Praise: We have a number of people talking about getting baptized at our baptism service in a couple weeks.
Grace and Peace
