So, our last service went forward without any of the hiccups are previous couple have had. God is good. I know I'm behind on getting this post up. Its been a crazy week and a half. Right now, I'm in the process of looking into venue's for weekly events. I am also preparing sermons through the end of the year. Having to work and plant means that I've got to use my time more judiciously than I am used to. So each week I prepare the basic outline plan of 1 month of services. It's a new habit and as we all know, new habits are hard ;)
On a personal note, Chrissy and I have put an offer in on a house. We haven't heard back yet, but we are hopeful. The market the way it is, sellers are trying pretty hard to get rid of stuff.
I'm looking forward to our last monthly preview service. It's hard to get people on board for monthly services, but we do have a few dedicated brothers and sisters who are helping to breathe life into this community. Help us hang in there. Pray for all that we do, those we meet, our own walks. God has blessed us in so many ways already, but He will continue to do it through the gifts/prayers/visits from you all.
Prayer requests:
Sue has some eye procedures coming up and if they don't go well she could lose her sight.
Reid has had his surgery and is in rehab. He's coming along but still needs prayers for healing.
With Imago Dei looking toward weekly services, we need to have a higher outlay of cash for meeting space. So if you have been holding back on donating, please do so no longer.
