We are approaching our final preview service in 7 days. We are almost to where the rubber meets the road. The starter lights are yellow and the motors are revving. I am encouraged by the people that have signed on and by the gifts that God has given us and I look forward to all of the things that He has planned for Imago Dei.
This week I'll be meeting with a local community center about building use as well as talking to some other locations hopefully. One big blessing we could use is someone either donating a space for us OR someone offering to pick up the tab for 6 months of rental space. We are small right now and holding our own, but with some of the bigger costs coming around the corner, we could use all the help and prayer that we can get.
The writer of Hebrews reminds us in chapter 13 that God is always with us, and that we are to press on for His sake.
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
There are many obstacles in our way, but I feel confident that God will move them all. I know I cannot move them myself, but I have faith in Him who can. It is God's mission, it is to great for any one person and He would not have sent us on said mission if He did not desire His glory in it. Press forward, press on, be strong, for the Lord our God is with you.
