You may have read on my Facebook page that we have a meeting space!! Here's a link so you can see a gallery of pictures taken there. It's a reception hall that just opened downtown in one of the old mills. We picked up the space for 2 hours on Sunday mornings for less than a 15% of what the daily rate is. God is good!
Rivermill
We are almost 3 weeks out from our preview launch and we're getting ready. We have some promotional materials getting shipped on the 8th. Some other specific needs we have are "direction placards" (something like this that will direct people around the building from the parking to the service).
Feet on the ground to spread the word. I realize this may be one of the tougher requests. Maybe you find God putting it on your heart to come up here for a weekend or something to help us do a little door to door.
Advertizing materials/ideas. We've got some that are pretty solid, but we're in the market for more. We want people to not only know we're here, but we also want it to be personal. The best thing for this of course is individuals.
Tomorrow from 8am-8pm our good friend Praveen has arranged a time of fasting and prayer. Its a time to pray about the church and what God has for us. Many of you have received the email, but I'll attach it here as well:
Hi,
You are receiving this email because you are one of Nathan and Chrissy Wainwright's friends or family. I want to reach out to you to see if you would be willing to partner with us in their journey through prayer and fasting.
Purpose:
The Bible illustrates on multiple occasions that God blesses people when they earnestly seek for Him things for His purposes. We want to take this occasion, before Imago Dei is launched, to ask God to open the gates in Heaven to pour his Spirit out on this ministry. We want to pray that people respond to the call to follow Him, that people would be touched by the true meaning of what it is to be like Christ, and what Christ meant when He asked us to pray that His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This is your chance to stand together with our friends to help save the fallen and broken hearted from the jaws of Evil one and entrust them to the love and kindness of our Lord.
Proposal:
We fast and pray from 8am to 8pm on 4/1/2011, seeking the Lord to show up and do His work in this ministry.
We pray for the following:
- God will lead them to people and lead people to them.
- That He will provide for them financially.
- That they will be open to His leading.
- That He will move MIGHTILY!
- That He will create disciples and not just receivers.
- That the focus will always be following Him.
Someone said 'The world has yet to see what God can do with a man wholly committed to Him', do you believe in that? If you really do, here is your chance to be faithful and support someone who left his family and friends in IL and went to a place where the snow fall in measured in feet instead of inches. A state where the Jersey Shore audience numbers higher than the number of church attendees. As crazy as Nathan and Chrissy are, we love them and we want our God to work His miracles in their lives and ministry.
