I had a meeting with the Business Administrator from a local church today and she has agreed to be a temporary Treasurer until such a time as we have someone inside our congregation who can do it! Not only that, but she offered to train the person who does eventually take over!! We have financial accountability!!!
It has truly been a blessing of a week. In the state of New Hampshire in order to form any kind of organization you need 5 signatures for a "board". I have had 5 people volunteer to be a part of that group. Once I get those signatures back then I can take the form to the state house and file it, and then I can get a bank account for the church.
God has done so much for us this week, and though it has had its "downs" the "ups" have been much greater. I can't wait to see what He has planned for us next. There are many other things that have fallen into place and we continue to hope and pray and prepare.
Current things we're working on:
Find a Worship Leader who is willing to work from a PT position into a FT position.
Setting up the church bank account so that people can do direct Billpay to it.
More donors for the Gideon Pledge.
Relationship building.
Beginning to look at the costs of different sizes of meeting places.
I pray that you will all keep us in your prayers and your hearts. We are not coming home for Christmas as the cost is prohibitive and so we'll be on our own for the holidays. Please consider helping to support this ministry.
