First Blizzard

As we find ourselves in the midst of our first blizzard here in Dover, we find ourselves preparing for more than just inclement weather. Sure, we've done all the appropriate weather related prepping we can. We have extra food, water, heat, and a backup generator. More importantly we find ourselves getting prepared for the beginning of our Gideon Pledge season. Many of you know the information, many of you have committed to helping us achieve God's vision for Dover, and many of you are still thinking about supporting.
Our safeguards are in place:
We have an external treasurer who is a business manager at another local church.
We have a new PO Box for donations so that as few people handle them as little as possible.
We have scheduled talks with organizations that take online donations, to make things as convenient as possible.
Once the final piece is in place with electronic donations I will begin contacting people with the information that they need to serve God and this community with their generosity.

We are also in the process of talking to people about our desire for a PT Worship Leader. As the church develops this is likely to transition into a more full time position. If you know someone who is looking for a way to serve God with their musical talents, feel free to mention us to them. Maybe God has something big in mind that they haven't thought of yet.
