Out of Sight, Out of Mind?

I want to thank everyone who has been helping us, either "on the ground" with their presence or "from afar" with their donations. I need people to keep spurring me on. Some days are plush and resplendent with God's abundance, other days feel dry and bleak with the worldly aspects of what we have to deal with.

Despite numerous location difficulties last month, we did find a place and will continue to use it moving forward. We are now located at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Dover at 10 Hotel Dr. They have a conference room that we have booked, that provides enough space for our current needs and gives us more time to set up/tear down for nearly the same money as the last space.

Over the 4th of July weekend we participated in Rochester's "Nite Before the 4th" event. The Journey Church essentially puts on the city's fireworks. With an attendance of nearly 10,000 people per year, drawing from all the surrounding towns, the event offers an unprecedented opportunity for outreach. We set up a booth, we were introduced from the stage and we handed out flyers, brochures, and other outreach materials. Despite a little rain, the event went well.

I want to encourage you to not forget us up here. I know it can be tough, it seems like a world away. But I promise, if most of you hopped in your car and began driving, you'd be here in 24 hours. We want to thank you for donations. They help us pay our rent for the location, the help us pay for outreach materials, they help us be able to afford equipment purchases. With a new church, we don't have a tithing base yet. Without some sort of outside donations, we would have to scale back our efforts. Please don't forget, Paul had Philippi, we need the Midwest.
