1 WEEK TO GO!

Hello all,

We're down to the final 7 days. By this time next week Imago Dei will be rolling. CAN YOU TASTE THE ANTICIPATION!?!?

Today we went to Journey Church and talked to the congregation about what we're doing. Pastor Rob gave his congregation permission to come and join us if they felt God moving them to do so. We handed out literature and we had a number of people say they wanted to help us reach Dover. We asked people to pray for us and our flyer listed some things they could do to help. We need people to help us spread the word. We need people to pray for the church and community, that God would move mightily. We asked for them to pray for strength for Chrissy and I. We asked them to help us set-up and tear-down next Sunday. I have told you some of the things that Journey has done for us, but there is more that they are doing. I want to list them here so that you can see how God is moving.

Journey Church has:
Paid our first months rent at our location.
Donated money for us to run a Facebook ad campaign this week.
Commissioned their Executive Pastor to help us on location Easter Sunday.
Provided mentoring for me through their Lead Pastor.
Given us the chance to ask people from their congregation to join us short term or long term.
Promoted and prayed for us in their meetings.

I can't say how much of a blessing they have been. The church in the midwest could learn a lot about team-playing from New England evangelicals.

We have a few students from Intervarsity at UNH who have committed to helping us get off the ground as well. Big thanks to Ben Sturgill who got us in front of the students.

I also want to thank my boss at The UPS Store, Stephen Heger, who has allowed us to do all our printing for free while I'm on the clock. He has been very supportive of the church plant and wants to see us succeed.

Next Saturday we will be doing a prayer walk, handing out information, coins, and giving people the opportunity to be prayed for specifically. If you can join us we would love to see you there.

There's still time to RESERVE YOUR SEATS at Imago Dei's first service, we'll even pick you up from the airport ;)

Grace and Peace

  2. Incredible the way Journey is coming alongside you guys. Sounds a lot like how Genesis got started.
